lights flicker 200

I don't drive much at night,but last night when I did down I95,I noticed a slight "flicker" in the dashlights. It also has the same "flicker in the headlights. Slight fade also noticed in headlights when brakes applied and turn signals activated. Battery going?? Alternator?? Thanks;o)
