fuel pump compatibility, 79 vs 80 200

My 79 245 (Kjet) needs a new fuel pump, I see they list for about twice as much as the ones for 1980 and up CIS systems. Any one know what the differences are? Could I stick an entire unit (fuel pump and accumulator) from a 1980 model in?
