WOULD A 1989 240 MIRROR FIT ON A 1987 740 (Manual/non electrical) both are sedans?? 700

Hey guys!

Does anyone know whether or not a manually adjustable side view mirror (passenger side) from a 1989 240 GL sedan would fit on a 1987 740 GLE sedan? Both cars have manually adjustable mirrors. Are the base and or platforms structurally the same? The appear to look somewhat similar, please all thoughts, experiences, and or advice would be greatly appreciated! AGAIN NEITHER OF THESE MIRRORS ARE NOT ELECTRICAL AND OR HEATED.
