repalcing windshields, what's best? 700

Following up the question on replacing the windshield, are there levels of quality of these. The one in my 745 has so many pits and scratches as to be awful at night in the rain. I know when the one in my 240 was repalced it was like night to day.
I heard many windshields replacements are of poor quality and chip easily, are there good ones?
