I'm new this forum. I'm a Saab 900T owner, but recently bought my college-bound daughter a 1982 240 in very nice condition. I've got the Haynes manual (270) but can't find my fuel system. The engine number (498960) indicates that it is a B21F, Lambda-Sond, Mopar ign, constant idle, 99 hp 1982 MPG. Ok, so why would a Swede put a Mopar distributor in this thing? What is an MPG? And most importantly, what fuel system is this? The Haynes manual doesn't cover the B21F model at all. It looks like it might be injected, but doesn't look much like my Saab. The air filter is located between left side of the radiator and the battery and says 'Injection' on the housing. The carb (if that's what it is) is an updraft type with a large rubber boot on the bottom. The intake manifold is on top and is flat on the top.
Can someone ID this thing and tell me where to find a manual that covers it? Also, how can I ID the automatic transmission. The 2 models for this year use different fluids and I'd like to get it right!
Thanks in advance
