1989 740 with a B230F engine: My car just dogs along when in the engine is in the normal operating temperature range. I could barely get to work this morning! Almost zero accelleration onto the freeway. I couldn't drive past 55 mph. Once off the freeway, I had trouble going past 30 mph on the side streets uphill. It feels like I'm not getting enough fuel, rather than a misfire.
The car starts perfectly in the cold and idles perfectly. The car doesn't seem to show the lack of power when the engine is cold, otherwise I wouldn't have left the house with it.
I replaced the ETC sensor, which fixed a cold starting problem I had. This lack of power problem existed before I replace the ETC, but I drove it to work thinking that the new ETC fixed the problem.
I have an extra AMM, so I could try replacing the AMM.
So for now, I'm up the creek without a paddle.
