What is normal oil consumption (if any)? 900

I checked the oil on my 960 today and and it was just above the min mark when cold. I added about 3/4 of a quart to bring it up to max. Is 3/4 of a quart normal consumption over 3500 miles?

Some background information: I change the oil and filter every 3-4 thousand miles. I use 10W30 dino juice. My driving is 90% city (40 to 60 MPH stop and go) in SoCal so no cold weather. The car has 76000 miles.
