Well if I get stopped by the EPA soon and jailed I would not be surprised. My 90' 240 wagon (176k miles) is spewing oil big time. The underneath of the car is so covered with petroleum it's hard to tell where it's coming from. Today I sprayed the bottom with simple green and power hosed it to clean it up a bit. I had to go to a car wash because it's about 20 degrees at my house and I obviously do not want the water in the driveway. So when I warm up a bit and crawl underneath the car to poke around, where should I look first? Where is the most commom leaks for a 240 or is there one? If I were to guess right now it's not in the upper part of the engine from the oil trail produced. My wife wants to chuck this 240 ASAP but I am attached to it for all the usual reasons. I really need to get this solved before she starts shopping! Thanks in advance for all advice.
