No overheating - thank the Gods... Such a relief to hear that the water pump is NOT on the serpentine... In fact the mechanic (Mark N. at Swedish Engineering of Ann Arbor MI) sez I can limp it on in instead of getting it towed the 55 miles as long as I keep the electrical use to a bare minimum (battery was new this past summer).

TB was changed on 2/14/2001, approx 20K miles on it now... My mechanic had noticed cracking on the existing TB and changed it - I gave him & the service manager each a big box of Valentine's Day candy for saving my engine... TB shall get a REALLY intimate inspection tomorrow at the mechanic's...
