Grinding noise from front passenger side brake?

When coming to an abrupt stop I can hear a grinding noise from front passenger side brake. The brakes work the same as before just the noise is new. The car is a 95 Volvo 940 sedan w/95K. It almost feels like there is moisture in the lines but I don't really know what I'm talking about, that is just my gut/volvo sense. What are some likely things to check out? Is bleeding the brake lines a DIYer?
