I've been doing some repair work for a guy I sold a car to last spring... I've been trying to give him a good deal just because I'm a nice guy and don't want him to think he has a lemon (which he doesn't!), but we've recently agreed that I need to be paid fairly for my time for an upcoming large amount of work...
What do you guys think, is $30/hour about right? He needs a new water pump, all hoses, heater control valve, thermostat (everything except radiator, which is already all-metal), front oil seals, and timing belt in the next few months... what would all that cost in a shop? I'm thinking that would probably take me about 4 to 5 hours, but I'm slow...
Thanks for any and all input!
