The best year to get 700

Ok I will be getting a 740. Ive been told that the best moddel to get is the 1989 it has the least problems according to Evan, Ean Billerwells son. He says that 88 had ECU problems.86 87 have harnessitis. Did this happen to all of them in those years? or was it due to loacation problems (were the car lived)ect.
