Hello friends,
Yes guys after dating my wife to be for 8 years, we are finally getting married on 8th Dec 2002. Guess what! our reliable Volvo 1991 940GLE 16 valve is being jealous. First it was power steering leakage at the pump. Got it fixed today. Now the car seems to be underpowered and jerking whenever I apply a bit of throttle. Engine knocks and the car stalls. One mechanic tested and told me its the in-tank fuel pump. How can I be sure that this is the case. Is there any way I can test the in-tank fuel pump. I checked fuse # 11 and its in good order. I get the whirls from the main pump before I crank the car and I also got the tickings from injectors.
I noticed that the rpm indicator falls to zero and back up again and fall again before the car stalls. I have changed the RPM sensor last year. Just checked the connector for RPM at the firewall, seems to be in good order.
thank you in advance for all your inputs.
