exhaust manifold nut missing? 900 1993

My '93 945T is missing an exhaust manifold nut - the one closest to the back of the head.

I don't think I have an exhaust leak or any problems at that spot now, but I'd like to replace the nut. However, the stud looks very rusty... rusty enough that I'm hesitant (having read lots of broken stud horror stories here on the board) to mess with it.

What should I do?

1 - just get a new nut & install (w/ antisieze)
2 - remove rusty stud, install new stud & nut
3 - don't mess with it
