Heated seats installation - ignoring the relay? 700

I have bought two power seats from a 1990 760. These have dual output heating. My car from 1987 has single output heating. The relay on my car is by the handbrake, but the relay in the dual output seats is on the fuseboard and is the same as for the power windows. I do not have this relay. Can I safely ignore the relay?
