WHINING NOISE WHEN CAR MOVES AT SLOW SPEEDS 700 1991

I have this whining noise that changes frequency when you speed up or slow down at slow speeds. It almost reminds me of a jet engine noise this is just starting up. If I had to guess I would say it has something to do with the drive shaft. Anyone out there have any ideas as to what the problem might be and how to fix it.
