244 trunk locking, it's just wierd, help. 200

Hi bricksters,

On my '88 244 the trunk doesn't like to lock unless I lock it myself with the key. Is this normal?

Even so, after I open the driver door and the central lock system opens the rest of the doors, the trunk lock opens too.

I need it to be locking in sync with the central locking system so I don't have people stealing out of my trunk or sleeping in it without asking me for the key. ;)

Any suggestions are appreciated.
