How hard to take out the dash in 1988 740 wagon? 700

I want to install Dave Barton's calibrated face plate in my turbo 740 wagon. Is it just a matter of removing the two screws, and unplugging the connectors from the back? Do I have to disconnect the battery? Are they connectors at the back of the dash different sizes so they won't get mixed up?
