Distributer questions 700 1986

I am going to be checking my distributer today because of my stalling, no start problems. I have an 86 760 turbo, I have been reading alot about faulty hall sensors. My distributer is in the back of the engine as most of you know, how difficult is it to remove, and what is the procedure. Thanks
