question about cd changer for a 95 960??????? 900

I asked a similar question recently, but does anyone know how to tell if an aftermarket alpine cd changer will work with a volvo radio unit? I found a used alpine CHMS-611 for a good price. The owner claims that it will work with some volvo factory units but does not know for sure. Also claims that this unit will work with radios using the "M" communication. Is this "M" for M bus and does the 95 960 use this M bus communication? I know there are adapters out there for some volvo to alpine units but this can get a little confusing. Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.
