REPAIR REPORT 89 245 Transmission 200

Hi all.

Problem: when cool AW70 did not want to shift to 2nd until 1/2 to 1 mile traveled. After warm it occasionally stuck in 2nd during takeoff. No wierd sounds, fluids OK, etc.

Fix (so far): local transmission shop did pan inspection, found no debris (good news). Cleaned governor, replaced pan, gasket and put in "conditioner". Charged me ~3.0 hours labor and parts = $170.

Seems OK for now. He said the governor problem is uncommon. I just want it to shift well. It is smoother, less abrupt and generally shifting a little earlier...... most noticeable during the upshift to 3rd.
