Questions about AW71 tanny lines 200 1984

I have an '84 240 Turbo and was wondering which pipe is the return on the tranny cooler (cooler to trans)? I'm thinking it's the bottom one. About to do a trans flush...hoping not to make a big fat stinkin' mess...don't want to be the next Capt. Hazelwood, you know.......So, if my assumptions are correct, I figure I would attach some clear tubing to the top line.

And if anyone has the size of tubing that works best......
