Brick?.. And clong?.. 200 1992

Hi!
I'm a french 240 lover, and I own a 240 Wagon Diesel (6 cyl).
I would like to know why you call "brick" the 200 serie?
And what is the "clong" I hear in the front left wheel, only when I ride on little bumps and at low speed (10 to 30 mph). All the bushes are right, and all seems to be OK... The only thing is a little play in the power steering rack...

What is the problem?
