Stereo in 760 700

My 760 turbo has a new sony cd player, non-functioning eq. and 4 speakers 2 on the front doors and 2 on the rear deck. I have several questions:
1. Does this car have a factory amp, and where would it be located, would the people who installed the head unit have bypassed this amp(as well as the eq)?
2. What size are the non-round speakers on the rear deck? They dont seem to quite be 6x9, what is a good replacement size. (They are mounted 1"-2" above the shelf in a stock volvo box)
3. Is it possible to put speakers in the back doors as they seem to have spaces for them?
I have limited experience with car stereos but will be attempting to straighten all this out this weekend. Thank you in advance.
