Firstly an intro. My name is Ian, I'm from Liverpool England, living in Pennsylvania for the last 12 years. After our third child was born we had to move from our Jetta to something bigger, after months searching we founf our perfect car - a '92 745t. We all love it - those heated seats are great!
Hoping you can help me with a problem:
I tried using the boards instructions on reading SRS codes but ran into some problems.
Instructions essentially say to plug connector in to slot B5 and press
the button on the B panel etc. etc.
Unfortunately there is no button to press on the B panel, so I used
the A panel button and still got no blinking from the LED, the connector felt really loose so I uncliped the B panel and found just one
wire going to it from the underneath and that was going to the #2
slot. So I plugged the connector into B2 and got the code 1-2-2,
repeated it and got the same code. Removed my keys and the connector
and tried again to make sure and came up with the same code 1-2-2. The
code table on brickboard makes no mention of a 1-2-2. So then I tried
to erase the code and had absolutely no luck with that. I held down
the A panel button for 5, 10, & 15 seconds and got no life out of the
LED.
At this point I don't know if I got the right slot - I'd have to
assume so, seeing as though it's the only wire going to the SRS panel
aka "B".
Anyone have a clue? did I get the right code, what does it mean?
Here's a photo of the panel with no button on the B panel (don't know if that's unusual or not):

Sorry for the lengthy post
