it hesitates at speed and very slow acceleration when cold

Question to all the gurus out there.
At high speed (100km-120km )my 740 wagon starts o hesitate not much and not very violent but it bucks and you feel the hesitation for a while, till you let go or speed up. Also now that the weather got really cold up here in the NOrth it is almost impossible to get it to speed before warming up.
Please help Thanks
