car won't turn off... 200 1985

hi,

1985 245 turbo...the other night the car wouldn't turn off despite completely removing the key from the ignition. figured it was the ignition switch and replaced it, however the problem remains. all fuses are good and i'm stumped. the wiring harness is fine and the alternator was just replaced this summer. this had never happened before and there were no warning signs (ie no strange electical-related problems, car was running great). thanks for any insight.
