Caroline wont start. 200

Crap. Just got done flushing the transmission. Then I took out the insturment panel to check on changing the lighting. Put the dash back together. Now the car wont start. Was running great all day. Try to start it up, sounds like it wanted to catch but didnt, it was like I pulled off on the ignition too soon. Try it again, nothing, but now its "putting" out the exhaust like a real soft backfire. Try a couple more times same thing. Pull plugs and they seemed ok, I let the car sit for a little while, tried to start again, and it was like it tried to catch once again but it never really did. So I pulled the relay and changed that. No good there. I jumped the fuel pumps on FUSES 4&6, you can hear the pump kick in but it still wont start. I also checked the vacum line from the fuel pressure regulator and it was dry. You got me????
