Hello guys!

Does anyone know if i can use a good diesel 15w-40 synthetic motor oil in my 88 740 GLE Wagon (8 valve-non-turbo 185,000 miles)? I was thinking of using this weight/type for the summer months. I commute 98% hwy miles averaging at least 1,200 miles average. I was looking at Amsoil's 15w-40, I have used amsoil for years, but never 15w-40. Will this weight cause way too much drag on the engine or seriously compromise my gas mileage.
