Been absent for awhile, playing with my new project car. (1972 Chevelle SS :) ) However, having that about done, it's time to return the attention to my volvo. Which as some of you may recall, was butchered by a local mechanic. I believe the Turbo has failed. It smokes (magically, once returned from the shop - mind you this was a year ago almost.). However it ONLY smokes under throttle. the more throttle/boost, the more it smokes.
This sounds right, does it not? Someone had mentioned valve guides perhaps - however after removing the head and having it rechecked by a local machine shop, that proved to be wrong.
Any other thoughts of what it could be? I've already removed the exaust manifold - pulled the turbo apart and prepared it to be reinstalled. I'm just wondering if I should check anything else while the engine is more or less apart.
Thanks
Jeff
