I have the OD relay out. I think this is causing my intermittent OD functioning. The solenoid gives a consistent click each time I hook 12v to it so I'm thinking hoping it's not that. This relay is not the same one as in the Don Foster photos. It's #1259750896326. I don't see any burned or broken solder spots, even with a magnifying light. Three spots at not shiny like the others, and I see some remnants of flux or something around some of the soldering. On the other side, by the copper wire coil, I see contact points like in an old distributor. I'm assuming it would be a good idea to clean these, but I'm not sure if I should use alcohol or fine sandpaper or what. Any ideas?? Maybe I'll try the cleaning, and if it doesn't fix it, get one from Groton or IPD. PS: I don't know how I'd solder something so small, but I think I have a friend who can help. Thanks in advance.
