Changing Tie Rods 200 1984

I'm going to replace the tie rods myself on my '84 244 DL non-turbo.

Do I need any special tools (eg ball joint separator) to change tie rods?

Any tips for marking the number of turns on the interface between the inner and outer tie rods?

Any other tips?

What type of grease/lubricant do I use (my '84 B23F non-turbo has an automatic transmission and power steering)?
