I went for a nice long drive in the mountains today, and about 15 minutes from home Bjorn started to act a little funny - wouldn't keep his speed up (good thing it was a divided highway) and I had to keep the pedal to the floor just to keep him going forward. I took a few back streets home so that I could avoid any traffic lights, and eventually made it to my driveway in one piece. He idled roughly for a few seconds then called it a day. I popped the hood (broke away all the ice that had formed over it) and the front Stromberg was all frosty and white (hey, it's Christmas, right?)

It is not that cold outside, but there is a lot of snow, and it is quite humid. I am guessing that it is the temperature regulator - any second opinions?

I have the hot air pipe that goes from the exhaust up to the air cleaner box. but it is still sitting on the shelf. I had it on last winter for a while but it just seemed to rattle a lot and not do much else. Could that be the magical cure I am looking for?

Anyone with a similar experience out there?
