What are the best color choices to repaint 240 Station Wagons?? 200 1983

OK..New Year's resolution...repaint the old trusty 83 245. But what color? This one has been repainted once ( a metallic tan) over the original buckskin color.
My son and I saw a 2003 Jetta painted a dark blue (Galactic Blue Pearl) that looked very elegant. But I have heard that White hides body defects, etc best? Also white is the easiest on the AC system. Blue would absorb sunlight and be hotter inside.
So, which colors do you all like?
