Help- To much pressure (turbo)? 700 1988

Help, I recently overheated in my 1988 Volvo 760 Turbo. WE pulled the head and replaced the head gasket (water was sitting on the pistons). I'm no mechanic but I'm trying to learn. Got everything back together and the car almost instantly overheats and there is a ton of pressure being sent through the engine. Coolant will shoot out of the overflow tank if I remove the cap. Something is wrong and I'm at my wits end and I'm ready to sell her for parts. I think whatever is going on caused the overheat in the first place. Maybe the Turbo is doing something. Is there a pressure release valve? If anyone can help me I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!!!!
