I have recently gotten an 87 245 and am working to cure the cancer. It is not plentiful, but I can see some rust forming around the windshield. Has any one had any success with IPD's windshield replacement kit? I think what I want to do is remove the windshield, fix the rust, and then put the windshield back in. Is it hard to remove and replace the windshield? Should I call a glass installer and have them remove it and then come back to put it back in after the rust is fixed? I have already broken one of the clips that holds the trim to the windshield and would really like to replace that with the later 240 design without the trim. Would I need a different windshield for this? Or is it just a different finishing piece? Where can I order it? I know this is a ton of questions, but I have been searching the archives and have not gotten the answers I wanted. Thanks in advance for the help!
