My daughter has the 89 240 DL that stops after leaving a stop sign or in stop and go traffic. Orginal message posted 01/03/03 at 02:17pm. I received messages from Carl, Smitty and Eric-s I want to thank you all very much. After reviewing your comments and other comments on the Brick I have some work to do. Three weeks back I had the waterpump replaced, timing belt replaced and a new radiator installed. Yesterday the head gasket went so after that is repaired I will begin doing what you all suggested but I will need some book help. I see a lot of you like the Bently repair manual is that the best? Is there any info here in the RICK on cleaning/replaing such items as AMM,Thtottle Body, Checking the Idle position switch , Replacing the 25 am fuse and holder . Can any one lead me in the direction for assistance. Thanks jerry
