I am buying a 1994 940 with ~48k miles from my grandmother (got a GREAT deal). I will be driving the car from Texas to Maryland in February when we go to pick it up. The car has been garaged for the past 7 years and the fluids were changed on a regular basis. However, I do not believe that any other maintenance was done. These are the pluses:
1. Low miles
2. Regular maintenance
3. Garaged
4. Great deal
5. Strong engine known to go for a long time
My main concern is the radiator - these fail after 8-10 years. Should I be concerned since it is low mileage or is 8-10 years about right regardless of being driven or not?
I am having the belts, hoses, and spark plugs replaced and the valve clearances adjusted before beginning the drive back.
I figure this car still has 200k miles left. Is there anything else I should have done?
Thanks!
