OBD I code '2 1 2' 900

If the check engine light on the dashboard lights up and get read OBD I diagnostic code 2 1 2 (faulty oxygen sensor (O2) signal) in your 960 after following instructions in 700/900 FAQ, undo the red and blue four way O2 connector near the oil dipstick and check inside. The metal spades in the male connector are surrounded by silicone like material (I suppose to cushion them and be a barrier to dirt and so on) which crumbles, particularly after you apply electronic connection cleaner or the like. The particles can fall within the male and female connection, even inside the female connector contacts, and cause a faulty O2 sensor signal. Take out the loose material with tweezers, preferably from one of those kits used to dissect frogs in biology classes. Make sure all contacts are clean (perhaps it is best not to use dialectric grease here because of low voltage signals) and undistorted and connect back together. Read OBD I again, press the button for over five seconds after you get code 212 again, and press it again for over five seconds when the red LED lights up. Read OBD I again and hopefully you will get code 1 1 1 (no fault) and the check engine light in your dasboard will go off after you start the car. Best regards to all at Brickboard.
