I have a 1993 240 wagon which the temp guage will act normally and be at the mid mark but then drop to about 1/4 temp for the next 10 miles of drivng. Then the temp will go at the very bottom of the guage just enough to be on and it will stay that way. This is a new thermostat I put in the car a (Walther brand or however you spell it) and I checked it before I put it in and it open as it should. I put in a new stat because the old one was doing the same. Are these walther brand thermostats junk? Could this be my guage? My bottom hose does seem to be a little cooler than I would like it too be but it is getting flow through it. Thanks for you thoughts.
