Mr.' Turbo blow by' 200 1984

Oh boy I've done it now! Last night on the forum I asked why my Turbo was burning oil, but haven't had a chance to look at my air filter, etc. before all hell broke loose! I used the car this morning, started fine (-15 C)began to warm up and drove about 2 miles before I noticed that I was creating a MOST EFFECTIVE smoke screen, and I mean BIG!!
Well this attracted the attention of one of our guys in blue, lights an all. He pulled me over and we had a -- chat!, I gave him my sob story and he let me go -- all of twenty feet! before he pulled me over again, this time good and permanent.
So now it's been towed to my house and here I am trying to figure out why I had an intermitent puff of smoke at irregular times change to what is NOW a full-blown, continuous cloud. Any ideas as to why the radical shift to full smoke??
Thanks All,

Thanks to "dlot", "John A", and "foster" for their suggestions in my last message; any other ideas fellas?
(by the way this '84 predates the intercooler, it only has oil lubrication; no water cooling and no cooling of incoming charge of air).
THANKS PETER
