CR-712 in a '86 760 GLE??? 700 1986

I am looking for some basic radio info.
Q: Does a '86 760 GLE mate with a CR-712 radio?
Q: Does it also come with a 5-band graphic EQ?

I recently got the above used car - loaded. A Cr-712 radio was in the slot and the above "EQ-101" (down by the cig lig), but not hooked up. The car has 4 speakers lf rf rr lr. However, the wires coming out of the radio, and the wires coming out of the dash don't apply to any wiring diagram I've seen.

A: The car must've been retrofitted w/whatever radio and the wires hacked. The EQ wires are hacked right at the unit. The back of the CR-712 has amp and eq outs in a kind of funny plug deal, but no wires.

Coming out of the dash are blue, green, red, gray, and yellow wires (plus the 8 speaker wires)??? Coming out of the radio are black, blue, green, red, gray, orange, brown, yellow, white/blue, and blue/ white???

I have deduced from various testing and diagrams that blue and green are hot, and black ground. Red may be power antenna (which currently goes up when I turn on the headlights)

Blue/white and white/blue seem to be speaker pos, and brown and gray may be spk min??

Something strange: with the above trial, there is very low sound. I've learned in this forum that the radio needs a separate power amp which I don't know if it's in the car, or how to find the wires to it.

???So basically, what are all these wires and is there anything to salvage here???

p.s. the name is for my '72 142E which is that "nice" mustard yellow....
