94 940 gas consumption 900

First I have to say Hi to all 9 series fans here. I have been checking this forum out for over a year and found it exteremely useful, now I finally registered as one of the brickboard members and start sharing experience with you guys.
I have a 1994 944 non turbo with 180,000Km on it. I found that my car can only do around 8-9km/ L with is around 18mpg. When compare to the same size vehicle like camry and accord, 18mpg seems a bit too much. Recently I just put a set of new spark plugs, air filter and mobile 15w-30 oil.
Is there anyway I can improve the milege?
