93 n/a to a turbo? 200

I have a 93 240 wagon with 128k on it and it uses no oil and runs strong. I would be interested in putting a turbo on it. I would only like the turbo for a bit more power, only running light boost, maybe around 5 pounds max would set my needs. Would the manifold off of a b230 turbo motor and complete turbo setup hook up to mine? Would just retarding the ignition or timing be enough to help with detonation? I'm not planning on running big hp or driving it hard, I would just like a little more power on the hills. Is the motor strong enough internally to handle boost or is it just best to stay away and play it safe? I want this motor to go to 300k and I maintain the car very well but would adding a turbo make the motor have a shorter life?

Thanks for your thoughts. This message board is very helpful. Jim Holst is the man!!

A WARNING TO PEOPLE
Just sold my 96 Audi A4 2.8 5spd!!!! What a burden to get that German bastardized engineered car off of my back. The A4 is a great car for an electrical engineering class on how NOT to design or what not to use for components when designing anything with reliability in mind. It's kind of funny, my dad is a mechanical engineer and just said today when I sold the car that he wished I would have asked him before I bought the Audi because he said they were junk in the 80's and still continue to that heritage. He said Audi is the German equivilant to the Alfa Romeo in which you pay a premium for junk. Oh so true!!! He is glad I'm back in the Volvo way once again after being side tracked by a nice looking (not working) Audi. He has always been impressed with my other 240's and my brothers since sold 240 and his new V70 on how easy they are to work on and how tough they are. Just thought I would share because this just irritates me how a company can charge a premium for a car that is so poorly built. Oh, and unlike Volvo mechanics that believe in what they work on and drive Volvo's, the Audi mechanics didn't drive Audi's when I asked them. If you MUST have an Audi make sure you get the warranty because you WILL use it.
