mirror heating 900 1996

The driver's side mirror heater is not working on my 960 (passenger side is OK). How can i open the find/open the connection to the mirror from the inside or do i have to detach the mirror completely?

Anything specific about how to remove door trim on '96 960 (have only done it on a 740).

Really would like to get it working in these snowy conditions. If the cable is broken
