Speedo stopped working 900 1991

Hello again,

Guys my 1991 940GLE is at it again. This time the speedo, the mileage and the trip meters stopped working. I did not realise when it happened or exactly how it happened. But when I realised they were not working, I did some surgery on the speedo and it seems to my layman's eye everything in there intact and not burned or something like that. So I am suspecting the sensor at the flywheel. Is there anyway to check to determine if the sensor is faulty? I don't have extra sensor to swap. So I was thing of doing resistance check or something like that. Any suggestions are welcome, including asking me to take a walk in the woods :)
