power steering fluid type??? 200 1993

I am going to change the fluid on my 93 240 wagon tomorrow and was wondering what kind of fluid I should use? I have heard to use Type III dextron, is this correct? I am going to drop the top hose on the fluid resovoir and pump it out while it is running and keep adding some till it looks clear. Is this the right procedure and how much fluid do I need so I don't end up short? Thanks for you help as always!
