What years have heated seats? 700 1988

Good ol' ebay! I just bought a pair of tan leather seats off of a guy on ebay, and he told me they are from a 1988 740. I bought them to replace my falling-apart leather seats on my '86 GLE. The problem is, both of my front seats are heated, and it looks like in the pair I bought, only the driver's is heated. Does anyone know what was the normal configuration for a 1988 740?

Also - my current seat heaters have three position switches (off, seat, seat and lumbar)...did the '88 have two or three position switches? Help!

I am not going to undertake this replacement until spring when I can get out into my driveway again, but I would like to get the newer-looking leather onto my seats AND still have seat heaters for both seats (my wife loves them).

Thanks for the input!
