240 blower-motor the EASY way

I have done several blower motor replacements "by the book" as prescribed in Haynes, Bentley and BrickBoard..
It is a 5-7 hour tedious ordeal that I would not wish upon my worst enemy.

Until today, I learned "The Automeister Method"

PULL THE DASH, and the steering-wheel as well.

When my mechanics, Steve and Wolfgang suggested removing the dashboard of the car I thought they were _CRAZY_ I mean completely flipped. But since I was a guest in their shop, I decided to abide by their advice..... What a completely different job it was! I cannot believe nobody has suggested this before. This is THE way to do it.

No more laying on your back and groping in the dark. No more twisting and contorting. No more skinned knuckles and bruised elbows.. And not only that but it is actually MUCH faster.. motor was out in under 1..5 hours... if I hadn't decided to attend to some other issues (leaking windscreen wiper linkage gaskets, etc.) while I was in there, the job would have been a 4 hour "walk in the park".

All hail Automeister!
