Feels like its that time! I guess i cant complain, 318,000 and this is the first rack replacement. So I did some looking around (FAQs and such)and it seems as though I have the CAM rack, the boots sinch right down onto the tie rods without any big washer thing. I thought that the ZF rack was totally different and assumed that maybe it doesnt fit, is this true? What I really need is some advice from all of you volvo wizards out there on things like: where to get an inexpensive replacement? which rack to get? other things that Im probably going to have to/should replace when doing this, and any tricks that i should know before hand.
This is my first time doing this job, and would surely appreciate any and all help that you guys can send my way. Ohh yeah its an 87 740T, that would probably help huh!! OK off to do the wheel bearings!
